In a move to increase speed and flexibility of end-of-arm tooling creation, PCC has invested in SOLIDWORKS design software and 3D printing hardware from Markforged. PCC selected GSC as their reseller/training partner for both tools not only for GSC’s high level of technical and training resources, but proximity played a role as GSC is just two blocks from PCC’s Germantown WI headquarters. Vice President Business Development Dan Carney, who is heading up the robotics solutions team at PCC, said “GSC was an easy choice given their reputation in the SOLIDWORKS community and their location was just a nice bonus”.
This gripper was created on PCC’s new Markforged Onyx One printer. PCC has the ability to design and print a wide variety of mechanical items to customize end-of-arm work holding as well as custom brackets for after-market door control. Contact us to learn more.
